Hello friends! After an amazing experience last year, members of the Axonifam will once again be participating in an all-day fundraiser on June 9th, called Marathon of Sport. All funds raised at the event are donated to the Special Olympics Canada Foundation. Throughout the day, we will be competing alongside local Special Olympics athletes in a variety of sports such as basketball, soccer, bocce, bench ball, flag football and ultimate frisbee. Last year's team was a competitive bunch that raised over $1800 to support Special Olympics Canada locally, here in Waterloo. Our team was known as The Axonify Bite-Sized Chunkers in 2017, and finished third overall in the competition. This year we would like to exceed our donations raised and bring another competitive team to the event... oh, and we are calling ourselves The Axonify Caroling Lemurs. Marathon of Sport is organized by motionball. motionball is a not-for-profit whose mandate is to introduce the next generation of donors, volunteers and sponsors to the Special Olympics movement through integrated social and sporting events. motionball now proudly hosts 32 annual events in 19 cities across the country. Through these events and since inception in 2002, motionball has donated over $9,500,000 to the Special Olympics Canada Foundation. For more information on motionball please visit www.motionball.com. Thank you very much for your support, we appreciate it! Jordan Codack Axonify
