Dear SMU Supporters,

On March 21st the SMU Huskies are partnering with motionball for Special Olympics to participate in a fundraiser called Marathon of Sport! Throughout the event, we will be competing alongside local Special Olympics athletes in a variety of sports such as basketball, benchball, soccer, ultimate frisbee and football. We are so excited to be bringing Marathon of Sport to SMU for the second time, after an incredibly successful launch last year! In 2018, SMU student athletes raised over $12,000 for Special Olympics and are so proud of the positive impact this contribution has made on the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities in our community. All funds raised at this event will be donated directly to Special Olympics Canada Foundation.

Marathon of Sport is jointing organized by SMU student athletes and motionball, whose mandate is to introduce the next generation of donors, volunteers and sponsors to the Special Olympics movement through integrated social and sporting events. Since inception in 2002, motionball has donated over $10 million to the Special Olympics Canada Foundation!
