As you may remember, last summer Brennan and I went down to Calgary to participate in an all-day fundraising event called Marathon of Sport. We are so excited that this great event has made its way to Edmonton (on September 30)! Throughout the day, we will be competing alongside local Special Olympics athletes in a variety of sports such as basketball, soccer, bocce, bench ball, flag football, and ultimate. All funds raised at the event are donated to the Special Olympics Canada Foundation. Any donations of $20 or more will receive a tax receipt (if you donate online you will receive that receipt directly to your inbox!). Marathon of Sport is organized by motionball. motionball is a not-for-profit whose mandate is to introduce the next generation of donors, volunteers and sponsors to the Special Olympics movement through integrated social and sporting events. motionball now proudly hosts 24 annual events in 17 cities across the country. Through these events and since inception in 2002, motionball has donated over $7,500,000 to the Special Olympics Canada Foundation. For more information on motionball please visit www.motionball.com. Also, there are still spots available to participate or volunteer for this event! Contact karen@motionball.com for more information on that! Thank you very much for your support, Claire & Brennan Black
