Dear Family and Friends,
motionball McMaster is bringing the Marathon of Sport to the McMaster community on January 18th, 2020! I am so honoured to be part of this amazing team and can't wait for this exciting day!! The motionball McMaster Marathon of Sport is a fun day of athletic competition where Special Olympics athletes (like my younger sister, Melissa) play a variety of sports alongside motionball supporters!
motionball is a national non-profit that empowers young Canadians to be leaders in their communities, raising funds and awareness for Special Olympics through integrated social and sporting events. 70% of the funds raised at Marathon of Sport are sent to the local Provincial Chapter. 25% stays with the Special Olympics Canada Foundation to ensure the long-term stability of the movement, and the other 5% is directed to the #NOGOODWAY Campaign which aims to end the use of the R-word in everyday conversation.
Too often, many exceptional people who have an intellectual disability are unable to realize their skills, goals and dreams because they lack the opportunities available to others. Help us continue to #choosetoinclude!
Thank you very much for your support,
