Hi Friends!
On Saturday June 1st, I will be taking part in Motionball’s Marathon of Sport to support the over 47,000 Special Olympics Athletes in Canada.
Motionball is a not for profit organization that empowers young Canadians to be leaders in their communities, raising funds and awareness for Special Olympics so that individuals with intellectual disabilities can lead happier, healthier lives.
I will be participating with a team of my coworkers from Vision Critical, and we will compete alongside local Special Olympics athletes in a variety of sports such as soccer, football, basketball, benchball, ultimate frisbee and more!

As a volunteer with Special Olympics of BC (North Shore) over the past few years, I have had the privilege of meeting & interacting with local athletes and it is profoundly apparent to me how much how being involved in the Special Olympics provides these athletes with a supportive community of friends & the positive impact that being part of a team has on their lives (and of their family’s lives!). These are some of the most positively-energized and enthusiastic athletes you will ever meet!
Last year’s Marathon of Sports Day helped raise $150K for these athletes, with all of the funds raised being directed to Special Olympics to support local programs.

My personal goal this year is to raise $750.00 and I would greatly appreciate your support – every little bit will help over 47,000 Special Olympics Athletes in Canada. Thank You!
