Wowza another year has already passed - and it's time again !! The Matejcek's are going to participate in an event very dear to our hearts - Marathon of Sport for Special Olymipics !

It is hard to express in words what Special O means to families with children with be able to have a safe, inclusive, and still competitive athletic program for their kiddos who do not meet the physical or mental abilities needed to participate in typical or mainstream sports teams.

This year Peter and I will be joining the incredibly socially-inspired athletes from the November Project, and throughout the day will be competing alongside local Special Olympics athletes in a variety of sports such as foosball, soccer, flag football, basketball, road hockey and volleyball!

Marathon of Sport is organized by motionball. motionball is a not-for-profit whose mandate is to introduce the next generation of donors, volunteers and sponsors to the Special Olympics movement through integrated social and sporting events. motionball now proudly hosts 32 annual events in 19 cities across the country. Through these events and since inception in 2002, motionball has donated over $9,500,000 to the Special Olympics Canada Foundation. For more information on motionball please visit
