This year I am joining a friend's Motionball team to help raise money for Special Olympics athletes. Our team goal is to raise $10,000. Some more details about the event and organization are attached below.

This fundraiser is important to me as I have always been such a huge sports fanatic, with the ability and means to play anything I've ever wanted. These athletes have not always been so fortunate. It would mean a lot if you would help me raise money for these athletes to represent Canada on the world stage and inspire future generations of athletes.

If you believe in this cause like I do, please help me raise my individual goal of $1,000 by following the link.

Thank you for your generosity,

Additional information:

On June 2, I am participating in an all-day fundraiser called Marathon of Sport. All funds raised at the event are donated to the Special Olympics Canada Foundation. Throughout the day, I will be competing alongside local Special Olympics athletes in a variety of sports such as beach volleyball, european handball, ultimate, bocce, soccer, Special Olympics Functional Training, BUMP, benchball and an obstacle course.

Marathon of Sport is organized by Motionball. Motionball is a not-for-profit whose mandate is to introduce the next generation of donors, volunteers and sponsors to the Special Olympics movement through integrated social and sporting events. Motionball now proudly hosts 24 annual events in 15 cities across the country. Through these events, and since inception in 2002, Motionball has donated over $7,500,000 to the Special Olympics Canada Foundation.
