Hi there!

On June 2, I am participating in Kingston's 5th annual motionball Marathon of Sport. As you know, I've been very involved in this fundraiser since 2014. This is an event where we get to truly know the people who we are fundraising for, and to see the difference that sport makes in their lives.

For a great number of these athletes, they have been born with chromosomal conditions that are associated with intellectual disabilities - but this is just the beginning. Their diagnosis often means they are at risk for developing several medical conditions and living with other health problems. Their Special Olympics family is extremely important for many reasons: getting out and being physically fit, a sense of accomplishment through their skills as well as a stage for public performance, giving them a whole new community and most importantly a group of friends to cheer them on – on the field and through life’s challenges.

This is how we help. This is where we come in. Through all of our fundraising we can help to give the Special Olympics Canada foundation the funds it needs to continue the program, funds that will support all of these athletes we get to play with every year, to continue not only playing the sports that they love, but playing sports that they love with their huge network of friends.

Any and every amount counts and makes a HUGE difference to our friends locally and all across Canada!

With great appreciation for your support,
Jen :)

How Can Your Dollars Help?

motionball for Special Olympics is a registered not-for-profit corporation, raising money for Special Olympics programs across Canada. 70% of the funds we raise are distributed to programs in the province where they are raised, with the remainder going to the long-term funding of programs through the Special Olympics Canada Foundation.
