On June 24, I am participating in an all-day fundraiser called Marathon of Sport. All funds raised at the event are donated to the Special Olympics Canada Foundation. Throughout the day, I will be competing alongside local Special Olympics athletes in a variety of sports such as basketball, soccer, kickball, bench ball, flag football and floor hockey.

This cause is hugely important to me, as my brother Maclean participates year-round in multiple Special Olympic sports. Some of these include floor hockey, swimming, bowling, powerlifting, and golfing, to name a few.
With the help of fundraisers like this, the Special Olympics was able to send my brother to Newfoundland in 2016 to compete in the National Floor Hockey tournament, where he came home with a second place standing! All costs were covered, such as travel, food, team gear, etc., and it would not have been possible without support from people like you! Most of all, Maclean gained the experience of a lifetime and memories which he is ecstatic to share whenever he gets the chance!

Please help me in raising money to support these incredible athletes!
