On May 27, I am participating in an all-day fundraiser called the Marathon of Sport. All funds raised at the event are donated to the Special Olympics Canada Foundation. Throughout the day, I will be competing alongside local Special Olympics athletes in a variety of sports such as basketball, soccer, ultimate frisbee, bench ball, football and more.

Marathon of Sport is organized by motionball. motionball is a not-for-profit whose mandate is to introduce the next generation of donors, volunteers and sponsors to the Special Olympics movement through integrated social and sporting events. motionball now proudly hosts 24 annual events in 17 cities across the country. Through these events and since inception in 2002, motionball has donated over $7,500,000 to the Special Olympics Canada Foundation.

Using sport as a tool for community engagement, empowerment and development is a huge passion of mine and any help would be much appreciated in reaching my goal. With all funds directly benefitting the Special Olympics Canada Foundation, your help will go towards helping special needs youth to engage in sport and benefit from all of the great life skills, and community that sport provides!
